HARDY delivered a heartfelt update on his and his team’s health after he and his crew suffered “significant injuries” in an accident on his tour bus.
The award-winning singer-songwriter posted a video message on Instagram on Tuesday evening (October 4), sharing that he and two of his team members — Tanner and Noah — are OK, though he asked for additional prayers for his bus driver, Ricky. HARDY paused briefly as he said that Ricky is “still not in the clear yet.” He also thanked his fans for their support, and gave details about upcoming shows that would be canceled or rescheduled:
“What’s up, guys. HARDY here. Just giving you an update on myself. I am OK. Just got done hanging out with Tanner. Tanner is OK (and) Noah is OK. We still want you guys to pray for our bus driver, Ricky, who is still not in the clear yet. So, if you guys could please pray for him, that would be greatly appreciated. I have decided that it is my best interest to cancel the shows that I have coming up, and that is Arlington, Texas, and that is Flannagan’s in Columbus, Ohio. I’m very sorry, but it’s just what I need to do right now. ERNEST will be taking my place in Arlington, Texas. And we will reschedule Flannagan’s in Columbus, Ohio for July 1, 2023. I love you guys. Thank you for all the love and support, and just keep praying for Ricky, my bus driver. He really needs it. He got a good report tonight, but he needs all the love and all the prayers that he can get. I love you guys, and we will 100% bounce back from this, and it’s gonna be bigger and better than it ever was before. I love you guys, and we will be fine in time. So, thank you again and see you guys out here.”
HARDY’s post quickly garnered support and prayers from Cole Swindell, Travis Denning and others in the country music industry, as well as his fans and social media followers. Morgan Wallen also took to his Instagram story on Tuesday night, confirming that he’s still performing in Arlington, Texas, as he asked for continued prayers for HARDY and his crew, particularly Ricky: “Everyone is OK, but the bus driver is not in the clear yet, so please say some prayers for him… I’m just glad you’re alive, (HARDY).”
HARDY announced on his social media channels on Sunday (October 2) that his tour bus got into an accident after he left a show in Bristol, Tennessee. “Following last night’s show, our tour bus was in an accident on our way home from Bristol,” HARDY said, in part. “There were just four of us, including myself, on the bus, however we were all treated for significant injuries. Our friend, and bus drive needs your prayers as he is still in the hospital. His family is with him while he is being treated and we’re all pulling and praying for him.”
