It’s about to be a “Pardi of 3!”
Jon Pardi and his wife, Summer, are expecting their first child. The “Last Night Lonely” star confirmed the news to PEOPLE and posted heartwarming photos on his social media channels on Wednesday night (September 21). Pardi wrote in his caption: “Welllll, it happened. No plans, no timing, just a gift from god. Im ready for it!” His announcement quickly drew congratulatory messages from Jake Owen, RaeLynn, Dustin Lynch, Maddie & Tae’s Taylor Kerr and many others.
“I'm ready to start a new adventure with my wonderful wife Summer and our new little one — Pardi of three!” Pardi said when he confirmed the joyous news to PEOPLE. “I'm really excited to meet our baby and to have someone to ride around the ranch with.”
Pardi, 37, and Summer, 32, began dating in 2016 and tied the knot in 2020. Summer has been feeling “overall really good,” and told PEOPLE that her superstar husband will make a great father because “he’s such a big kid at heart… so I can only imagine how much fun this little Pardi addition will be for him and our family.” She added later that it still “doesn’t feel real to us”:
“It’s been five years of dreaming of what it would be like if we were lucky enough to be blessed with a baby and now we get to live that dream. It's been so fun to go through all of these new changes together as a first-time experience for the both of us. We are beyond excited and cannot wait to meet our little Pardi babe!”
Baby Pardi is due in early 2023.
