Tim McGraw wrote the sweetest birthday tribute to his superstar wife Faith Hill on Wednesday (September 21). It was set to a slideshow of stunning photos of HIll throughout the years, as McGraw’s “My Best Friend” played in the background.
“Happy birthday!!!!!,” McGraw exclaimed on his social media channels. “My best friend. My soul mate. The love of my life. I can't believe that I get to spend my days and nights with you for the rest of my life! You are such a remarkable person and our 3 daughters could not have a better role model in their lives...... We love you baby!”
McGraw and Hill tied the knot nearly 26 years ago, in October 1996. McGraw popped the question at a music festival shortly before taking the stage. He returned to the trailer houses they used as dressing rooms to find that Hill had written a message in lipstick on the mirror: “‘Yes, I’m gonna be your wife.’ And I still have that mirror. I still have the mirror,” McGraw recalled during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this year.
After getting married, McGraw and Hill have welcomed three daughters: Gracie, 25, Maggie, nearly 24, and Audrey, 20. Each one has proved that talent runs in the family, and their superstar parents have beamed with pride. Audrey shared a sweet tribute to her mom in honor of her birthday on Wednesday, along with a throwback interview, including saying that she wants to “be happy with what I do.” Maggie and Gracie each added tributes on their Instagram stories, including Gracie’s message that Hill, her “queen,” is the “wackiest, hilarious, most caring person I know.”
