Scotty McCreery shared a vague tweet on Thursday afternoon (September 15), and Twitter users are buzzing with anticipation. The “Damn Strait” singer seemingly teased that a new project is in the works: “Might be time to share some new music soon…”
McCreery’s fans undoubtedly said they can’t wait for new music, though McCreery didn’t give any indication when he might drop something new. Some fans even hoped for romantic, wedding-worthy songs or a heartfelt single as a tribute to baby McCreery, due at the end of this year.
McCreery and his wife, Gabi, announced earlier this year that they were expecting their first child. Gabi also shared a few heartwarming maternity photos, calling them “our fave new fam pics” as she posted them on Instagram. “Feeling very blessed and thankful for all the kind words this week! We can’t wait to share our little man with y’all.” Last month, Gabi also shared photos from “the dreamiest baby shower,” a Winnie the Pooh-themed party with the location cleverly named: “McCreery’s Hundred Acre Wood.”
The teasing tweet comes shortly after McCreery released his latest radio single, “It Matters To Her.” The song was one of 12 tracks included on McCreery’s Same Truck album that released last year, along with “You Time,” “Damn Strait” and other fan-favorites. “I wrote this song with Rhett Akins and Lee Thomas Miller because after four years of marriage to Gabi, I've learned a few things,” McCreery wrote in a tweet on September 12. “This song sums up some of those lessons!”
