Jon Pardi just released his fourth studio album, Mr. Saturday Night, and the long-awaited project includes a pickup line worth trying in any honky tonk.

The 14-track album includes one of Pardi’s latest smash-hit singles, “Last Night Lonely,” which was the first song he released from Mr. Saturday Night: “It could be your last night comin' in here, drinkin' all by yourself/ The last time givin' your heart away to someone else/ Yeah, we could be some history in the makin', girl/ Tonight might be your last night lonely.”

During an interview with CBS Mornings on Wednesday (September 7), Pardi said the song stood out to him because of the scenery and images described in its lyrics, “and it’s a great pick-up line: It could be your last night lonely,” Pardi said. “I imagine somebody out there dropping that line,” though it “wasn’t around yet” when Pardi met his wife, Summer, so he hasn’t put it to the test himself.

Pardi’s appearance on CBS Mornings comes on the same day the Country Music Association announced the nominees for the 56th Annual CMA Awards, and Pardi is nominated in two categories. “Longneck Way To Go,” Pardi’s collaboration with Midland, is nominated for Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year, and Pardi said, “if you watch it, you know we’re having fun.” See the full list of nominees here.
