Danielle Bradbery is kicking off her next era with a fiery new anthem promising “a special place in hell for you.” Bradbery released “A Special Place” on Friday (September 2), gushing on her social media channels that she’s “always so pumped to share what I’ve been working on. Like I said before, I’m just so ready for y’all to hear this era of music so let it begin!!”
Bradbery unleashed a song unlike her previous material, crediting her team that brought the song and lyric video to life. Among the credits, Bradbery thanked songwriters Maren Morris, Shane McAnally, Sasha Alex Sloan, and Jimmy Robbins, who deemed the song “a favorite of mine since the day I wrote it with [Morris], [McAnally] and [Sloan]. [Bradbery] sounds incredible on this!!” The “A Special Place” singer also paid tribute to her producers, artwork and video pros, and her makeup and hair and stylist as the song and lyric video premiered on Friday.
Bradbury announced a genre-bending new chapter of her career earlier this year, when she debuted In Between: The Collection. That project blended Bradbery’s country roots with inspiration from other genres, including “R&B, pop, and rock elements while remaining true to my country core in storytelling and lyric,” she shared at the time, assuring: “And no, I’m not leaving country music.”
