Shania Twain is set to join a star-studded celebrity panel on the UK singing competition show, along with Adam Lambert, Beverly Knight and Jason Manford, plus host Olly Murs. The global country music legend announced in a reel shared on Instagram that she would join Starstruck. Twain said in a message to her social media followers, before taking the stage in Las Vegas:
“Hi everyone. I am here in Las Vegas and I’m about to get on the stage to do a show. But I wanted to take a quick minute to say that I’m so excited about heading to the UK soon to join Starstruck panel. It’s a real honor. I am such a fan of the other artists on the panel, the judges — Adam, Beverly and Jason — I love all of you… I just look forward to being able to tell you that in person when I get there. I can’t wait to see all the amazing talent there, and all I can say is, let’s go ITV!”
The ITV singing competition show takes Sheridan Smith’s place. Starstruck debuted in February, and is set for its second series in 2023, The Mirror reports. Katie Rawcliffe, head of ITV Entertainment commissioning, said in a quote, per Metro UK: “Shania is one of the all time music greats, not to mention a fabulous personality, so it’s an honour to welcome her to the Starstruck panel alongside Adam, Beverley, Jason and of course Olly at the helm.” Watch Twain’s announcement here:
