Blake Shelton is reminiscing on the early days of his career when he rocked a mullet, after bringing the signature hairstyle back in his latest ‘90s country-inspired music video. The country superstar reflected on “how it started vs. how it’s going” in a new clip shared to his social media channels, ending with a look at the “No Body” video. Shelton’s looks throughout the years are “iconic really,” his team captioned.
The iconic throwback looks come shortly after Shelton released “No Body,” a single that’s worthy of a mullet comeback. He shared in a tweet when he released the song that it “takes me back to the ‘90s when I was in high school and first moved to Nashville because it feels like what the music sounded like at that time.” Shelton took he stage at a honky tonk during his music video as bar goers in cowboy boots danced: “Don't wanna scoot the boots with nobody/ Get straight tequila drunk on nobody/ Wrap these arms around nobody/ No body, but yours/ Don't wanna shadows dance with nobody/ Slide some cotton off of nobody/ Don't wanna wake up kissing nobody/ No body, but yours.”
