Scotty McCreery shared what he would tell his younger self if he could travel back in time. Now a successful country artist, McCreery reflected on the days he practiced playing his guitar in his childhood bedroom. That 10-year-old version of himself would go on to celebrate three No. 1 singles one morning, and play a show at the legendary Grand Ole Opry later that evening. McCreery wrote in his caption:
“Wish I could tell 10 year old Scotty practicing guitar on the end of his bed… One day he’d get to celebrate 3 #1 singles in the morning and then play the Grand Ole @Opry that night 🤯🙏🏼”
McCreery shared a few photos of the celebratory day. He posted a few snapshots as he celebrated his No. 1 songs: “In Between,” “You Time” and “Damn Strait,” a heartbreak ballad that serves as a tribute to country music legend George Strait. McCreery’s post also included a few photos at the Grand Ole Opry with his pregnant wife, Gabi, smiling ear-to-ear in a flowing dress as she shows her baby bump.
The McCreery’s are expecting their first child by the end of this year. The “Five More Minutes” singer shared an updated countdown to his baby’s due date on his Instagram story earlier this week (88 days as of Monday, August 8). The soon-to-be parents married in 2018, and will grow their family with “little man” McCreery soon. See the country artist’s latest post here:
