Mitchell Tenpenny is getting ready to drop his second full-length album since his 2018 debut, Telling All My Secrets, and the new project is set to include 20 new songs. Tenpenny will release the full track list on Friday (August 5). The full collection is due on September 16, he announced on TikTok. “I cannot wait for you to hear this record,” Tenpenny said. “Cheers!”
The “Drunk Me” singer co-wrote all 20 tracks on his upcoming album, This Is The Heavy, which includes the first single, “Truth About You,” according to a press release announcing new details about the album on Tuesday (August 2). The breakup anthem first appeared on his Midtown Diaries EP, which released in September last year.
“I hope the fans are as excited as I am that this music will be out soon,” Tenpenny, who is currently on Luke Bryan's “Raised Up Right Tour,” said in a statement. “I spent an enormous amount of time writing during the pandemic and sharing bits and pieces of what I was working on along the way. The fans really showed up for me by giving me feedback on what they were liking. Their direction helped shape this album and stretched me as a songwriter and artist.”
