Tyler Hubbard and his family are praying for the country singer-songwriter’s father-in-law as he endures an “aggressive” cancer. Hubbard’s wife, Hayley, assured that her father is “doing really well and feeling strong.” She and her three kids — Liv, Atlas and Luca — recently visited her parents in Idaho. Hayley shared a few heartwarming family photos from the trip as she shared a health update for her dad.

“Prayers for Papa Pete,” Hayley wrote in her caption with a praying hands emoji. She continued, “my dad was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and has been undergoing treatment for the past few weeks. It’s aggressive, but he’s doing really well and feeling strong — which is everything we could hope for. The kids and I went to Idaho last week to hang out with ‘Papa Pete’ and cheer him on in his recovery. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers! Thinking of all of you who have been affected by cancer and rooting and praying for you through your fight.”

Hayley’s message drew hundreds of supportive comments, including from fans and from others in the country music industry. Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild offered her love and prayers, and Nicole Combs and Morgane Stapleton prayed and rooted for “Papa Pete.” Brett Young’s wife, Taylor Mills Young, and Rita Wilson shared their condolences and prayers. Brett Eldredge deemed “Papa Pete” “one of my favorite men in the world! Love that guy! Rooting for papa Pete and ready to hit the river with him in no time!” See Hayley’s post here:
