Dolly Parton had the best reaction when a country trio performed an original song inspired by her iconic 1970s track, “Jolene.” But she wasn’t the only country legend to call attention to the modern twist.

Loretta Lynn shared a clip of the performance — a golden buzzer-worthy audition on America’s Got Talent — on her official Facebook page. Lynn wrote: “I love it, ladies. Now I'm wondering what you might be able to do with one of my songs!”

The trio, Chapel Hart, shared a photo of Lynn’s post, gushing: “[Dolly Parton] and [Loretta Lynn] IN THE SAME DAY?!?!? WHAT IS LIFE ?!?!? 🤯🤯🤯”

Parton applauded the “fun new take” on her song, which modernizes the country classic. Chapel Hart — which consists of cousins and sisters Danica HartTrea Swindle and Devynn Hart — shared that they’re lifelong country music fans when they auditioned for the competition show.

“We were so inspired by the song ‘Jolene,’ and we just loved the storyline,” Danica explained, before the group performed and earned roaring applause from the crowd. “We figured, though, from 1973 to 2022, we could not still be fighting over this same man. So, we decided to tell her, you can just have him, Jolene!”
