Shania Twain Reveals She's 'Under Strict Doctors Orders' To Rest Her Voice

Shania Twain is “under strict doctors orders” to rest her voice. The legendary country music artist shared a statement on her social media channels lates Wednesday afternoon (June 22), announcing that she was feeling ill and would be unable to perform her scheduled shows. Addressing the statement to “my dear fans,” Twain wrote:

“I am sad to say that I woke up this morning feeling unwell and with no voice. I am under strict doctors orders to rest and not sing.
“Nothing makes me happier than being on stage and performing for you so I’m extremely disappointed to cancel tonight’s show. I am going to do everything I can to get back on stage for this Friday and Saturday.
“Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster for tonight’s show will automatically be refunded, otherwise please contact your point of purchase for their refund policy.
“Thank you for your love and understanding.”

The “Man! I Feel Like A Woman” icon signed the statement “Shania,” adding a red heart next to her name. Within minutes, Twain’s post garnered well-wishes from fans leaving heartfelt comments: “Sending love Shania!
