Toby Keith has seemingly canceled future tour dates after releasing a statement that he’s battling stomach cancer. Though Keith’s website refers to the country hitmaker’s “Country Comes To Town” Tour on its homepage, any upcoming tour dates are no longer listed.

The artist’s team reportedly confirmed that Keith’s tour dates in 2022 have been canceled. That comes after Elaine Schock, Keith’s publicist, said in an email to the Associated Press on Sunday (June 12) that some tour dates would be canceled, but “I’m not sure how many at this point.”

Keith shared a statement on his social media channels on Sunday, writing: “Last fall I was diagnosed with stomach cancer. I’ve spent the last 6 months receiving chemo, radiation and surgery. So far, so good. I need time to breathe, recover and relax. I am looking forward to spending this time with my family. But I will see the fans sooner than later. I can’t wait. -T.”

Other country artists joined Keith’s followers in offering well-wishes for his recovery, including Jake Owen, who wrote, “Pulling for ya man! You’re one of the toughest guys out here. You got this.” Jason Aldean and RaeLynn also offered support, each assuring the “Oklahoma Breakdown” artist that they were praying for his health. See Keith’s announcement here:
