Kelly Clarkson sat down with country music icon Faith Hill on The Kelly Clarkson Show, and she had the best throwback photo to reflect on what she remembers as one of the best girls nights of her life.

Clarkson was with Reba McEntire when she went to go see Shania Twain, and Hill attended the concert, too. All four legendary artists grouped together for a photo, and Clarkson remembered that she “pretended it was totally normal,” but really, she “was very excited about that night.”

“Do you ever do that with your daughters?” Clarkson asked HIll, of girls nights. “Do you ever say ‘Tim (McGraw), you’re not allowed,’ and you just go?”

Hill shared that she and her daughters had a girls night together recently (though her husband, country superstar McGraw, wasn’t “allowed” to attend because he was working). Hill and McGraw have three daughters, and their oldest, Gracie, just turned 25. “How does it feel to be 25 years old and smokin’ hot, Gracie?!?” Hill posted in a tribute on Instagram at the time, with tons if fire emojis. “The life of every party since the day you were born. We love you so much!!!!!!!!”

“We went on a girl’s trip and had the best time, the four of us together and Gracie’s best friend,” Hill told Clarkson of Gracie’s recent birthday. She added, “I’m all about the dancing. I cannot dance at all, and I’ll be the first to admit it. I know I can’t dance, but I do not care. I don’t care.”

Though McGraw wasn’t “allowed” to attend the girls trip, he gets to spend plenty of time with his daughters and his wife (and he shared a sweet birthday tribute of his own for Gracie). That includes starring alongside Hill in 1883, the Paramount+ prequel series to Yellowstone.

The hit show is one that Hill admits made her reconsider returning to acting. She recalled on The Kelly Clarkson Show that she started singing in church and performing in plays while she was growing up. When her career took off, she took on a few roles, including Stepford Wives, the 2004 film starring Nicole Kidman, Bette Midler and Matthew Broderick. Hill recalled working with the “amazing cast,” but admits that she never wanted to act again “because it took so long. The waiting, for me… I cannot. I have to be busy doing stuff.”

Hill said she’s read many scripts over the years, but “nothing hit me, or the timing wasn’t right” to take on a role. But the 1883 scripts “have been so incredibly well-written. I honestly had never read anything like it.” Watch the interview here:
