Dierks Bentley rocked the Nissan Stadium stage when he closed the 2022 CMA Fest in Nashville, Tennessee… But someone else might have stolen the show. Before kicking off a performance of his 2012 hit “5-1-5-0,” Bentley called attention to a fan standing by the stage. The “Beers On Me” artist extended the microphone to the man, who knelt in front of his girlfriend.

“Baby, I love you,” the man said into the microphone as he proposed. He added that his girlfriend is the “greatest thing that’s ever happened to me and I can’t imagine a day without you. Will you be my wife?”

She said “yes,” and the crowd went wild.

CMA Fest made a long-awaited comeback following a hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The annual four-day festival, hosted by the Country Music Association, kicked off on Thursday (June 9) and ended on Sunday (June 12). The Country Music Association and Bentley each shared the sweet concert proposals on their Instagram stories.

Bentley closed the star-studded festival during a show at Nissan Stadium which also included performances by Sara Evans, Old Dominion, Lady A, Elle King, Russell Dickerson, Parker McCollum and more. The whole weekend was packed with performances by country’s biggest stars, including Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Carly Pearce, Wynonna Judd, Thomas Rhett and many more. Bentley and King are teaming up to host the televised show. CMA Fest is set to air on Wednesday, August 3 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
