Toby Keith revealed that he's battling stomach cancer in an Instagram post on Sunday (June 12.) Read his statement here:

"Last fall I was diagnosed with stomach cancer. I’ve spent the last 6 months receiving chemo, radiation and surgery. So far, so good. I need time to breathe, recover and relax. I am looking forward to spending this time with my family. But I will see the fans sooner than later. I can’t wait. -T."

The "Should've Been a Cowboy" singer has long been an advocate for those facing cancer. He started the Toby Keith Foundation in 2006 to help kids in Oklahoma who have been diagnosed with cancer. In 2014, the foundation opened the "OK Kids Korral" which provided housing to families receiving pediatric cancer treatment in Oklahoma City, via Taste of Country. According to the outlet, Keith's 2022 Golf Classic raised more than $1.38 million for the OK Kids Corral just a few weeks ago.

Earlier this month, Keith announced a new single titled "Oklahoma Breakdown." It was announced on his social media channels that the song “will be hitting a radio station near you very soon! Get ready to turn it up.” The song is one of 10 tracks on his 2021 album Peso In My Pocket.
