Plenty of couples have danced to one of Dan + Shay’s newest romantic songs, and the country duo witnessed one especially sweet moment during their sound check for a concert in Arlington, Texas.
Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney took the stage at AT&T Stadium — home of the Dallas Cowboys — before their performance with Kenny Chesney’s “Here And Now Tour” on Saturday (June 4). As Mooney’s voice rang through the massive stadium, his parents danced together.
“Means the world to see people connecting with our music and sharing moments like this,” Dan + Shay wrote as they shared the heartwarming moment on TikTok. They added that it “literally makes our day” to see videos of fans dancing to the song. They’ve shared some sentimental clips of brides and grooms dancing to “You” on their wedding days, and that doesn’t appear to be stopping any time soon.
Dan + Shay said on their Instagram story on Monday (June 6) that their inbox is full of videos from this weekend of first dances to their song. Dan + Shay assured that they’d try to respond to and share as many as possible, “but just know that we are so grateful for this. For our music to be a part of one of the biggest moments of someone’s life will absolutely never be lost on us.” They also confirmed that “the acoustic version is coming.”

“You” is one of 12 tracks on Dan + Shay’s latest full-length album Good Things, which released last year. The collection also includes the title track, “Steal My Love,” “Lying,” “Glad You Exist,” “10,000 Hours” and other fan-favorites. Dan + Shay said during their exclusive iHeartRadio Album Release Party in August 2021 that this album is “our best yet.” Listen to the full song here:
