Gabby Barrett returned to the American Idol stage to perform two of her biggest hits during the Season 20 finale, teaming up with husband Cade Foehner and former contestant Emyrson Flora.

The performance on Sunday night (May 22) marked a special occasion for Barrett, 22, and Foehner, 25, who “finally got to perform together on the show we met,” she noted in her caption on Instagram. The husband and wife duo competed on Season 16 of American Idol, with Barrett coming in third and Foehner making it to the Top 5. They kicked off their performance with Barrett’s George Strait-inspired song, “Pick Me Up.”

She and Foehner filmed a music video for the song, depicting a love story that spans decades. Barrett released “Pick Me Up” as the first new song on her GOLDMINE (DELUXE) album, an extended version of her highly-anticipated debut collection.

When Barrett and Foehner wrapped up “Pick Me Up,” Flora joined them on stage for a rendition of “The Good Ones,” Barrett’s sweet tribute to her relationship with her husband: “A love me like he should one/ Like he wrote the book one/ The kind you find when you don't even look one/ Anybody can be good once/ But he's good all the time/ He's one of the good ones/ And he's all mine/ He's one of the good ones”

Barrett thanked “the lovely [Emyrson Flora]” in her Instagram post, and Flora gushed in the comments, “you’re so insanely good ❤️thanks for singing with me.” She added in a post of her own, “SUCH a fun experience ❤️thank you!!!!”

Barrett and Foehner met on American Idol in 2018 and married the following year. They welcomed their first child, Baylah May Foehner, on January 18, 2021. Now, they’re preparing for the birth of their son later this year. Barrett announced on Mother’s Day (May 8) that she’s pregnant with baby No. 2. Watch her American Idol performance here:
