Luke Combs shared a cryptic tweet on Monday afternoon (May 16), and it has fans buzzing with guesses: “Have 1 duet on the new album. Can anyone guess with who?”
Twitter users dropped hundreds of replies, trying to figure out who Combs’ mystery duet partner is. Guesses included Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen, Ashley McBryde, Miranda Lambert, Morgan Wade, Cody Johnson and Ed Sheeran, who teamed up with Combs for an onstage surprise during the C2C: Country to Country music festival earlier this year. However, there was still no word as of publication time on Monday when Combs might unveil the answer.
Though it remains unclear which artist collaborated with Combs, it won’t be long before the album releases. Combs is set to debut his next project, Growin’ Up, next month. He previously announced: “Excited to share the album cover with y’all! Title of the album is Growin’ Up and will have 12 songs. Can’t wait for y’all to hear the full thing on June 24, but new song ‘Tomorrow Me’ will be out…tomorrow!” That song is Combs’ latest heartbreak anthem, knowing that his future self won’t like “the way things go tonight.”
Combs is set to kick off his “Middle of Somewhere Tour” later this year, carrying it to the end of 2022. Earlier this month, he revealed that the tour name was inspired by the unreleased track “Middle of Somewhere.” He shared a one-minute clip of the song that inspired the name of the tour.
