Midland and Jon Pardi team up for a game of bowling as they order a few rounds of heartbreak beers in their new “Longneck Way To Go” music video. The toe-tapping breakup anthem is one that Midland will include on their upcoming album ,The Last Resort: Greetings From, which is set to release on Friday (May 6).
“I've got a long, longneck way to go/ Well, these heartbreak beers, they go down fast/ But this getting over you is going down slow/ And it's closing in on closing time and I ain't even close/ I’ve got a long, longneck way to go”
The “Drinkin’ Problem” group previously teased the collaboration with Pardi on their social media channels before releasing the song late last month. Pardi — who recently released his own single, “Last Night Lonely,” and rolled out plans for his upcoming “Ain't Always The Cowboy Tour” with Hailey Whitters and Lainey Wilson — hyped the song on his own Instagram account, saying, “Everything about this song and collab is f***ing awesome.”
So far, fans are raving that Midland “never disappoints,” and “can’t make a bad song.” Many dropped comments deeming it a dan-favorite and dubbing it a “song of the summer.” Watch the “Longneck Way To Go” music video here:
