Lindsay Ell wants you to know that you’re never running fashionably late to the parties in your own life. She ingrained the message in her new song that’s set to release on Wednesday (April 27). The country artist also took to TikTok on Monday morning (April 25) with a message to “anyone who feels like they’re falling behind…” She explained:
“I think that as women we feel a lot of pressure in our day-to-day. I think that we spend a lot of time worrying if we’re gonna miss ‘our time’ in life — our time to be beautiful, our time to maybe be a mother, our time to go after the career we really, really want — and I think that there comes a point where you need to decide that you’re living your life for you, and not for anybody else. Everything in your life is happening right on time in the way it should. You can never be late to the party in your own life.”
Ell announced earlier this month that she’s getting ready to release new music, and her latest work marks a new era of her career: “The past couple years have been full of a lot of time to write. I have been working on lots of new music that I’m so excited to share with you. This is the first song of the new chapter. This is my story. This is my heart. Cannot wait for you to hear it.”
