LeAnn Rimes has marked many iconic moments over the course of her career so far — and there’s one that sticks out to her as something she still can’t believe she did. The “One Way Ticket” singer recently recalled to iHeartCountry that she’s still puzzled that anyone allowed her on a bar when she was a teenager. She said with a laugh: “I cant believe my mom — well, not that she had a say in it at the time, but — I was 17, I cant believe anybody allowed me up on a bar at 17.”
Still, Rimes is “so iconic in that movie.” Rimes appeared in Coyote Ugly in 2000, singing “Can’t Fight The Moonlight.” Watch her admit that she still can’t believe anyone (including her mom) let her get on a bar:
Rimes recently celebrated 25 years as a recording artist with a CMT Crossroads concert event, CMT Crossroads: LeAnn Rimes & Friends. Rimes teamed up with Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Brandy Clark and Mickey Guyton to perform some of her biggest hit songs with her. Guyton is also one of the artists Rimes collaborated with on her upcoming album god’s work, a project she’s “been teasing you about…for a while.” Rimes previously said “this collection of songs is beyond special to me and we have carefully curated every step of this process, like never before. i can’t wait for this new music to be in your speakers and more importantly, your hearts.” Her new album is set to release on September 16.
