Brantley Gilbert released his highly-anticipated new single, revealing earlier this week that it’s a collaboration with award-winning artist Jason Aldean. The duo teamed up on “Rolex On A Redneck,” which released on Friday (March 25). It’s not the first time the two country singers joined forces on songs that turned out to be smash hits, including Aldean’s “My Kinda Party” and “Dirt Road Anthem.” But this time, their collaboration goes to a “WHOLE OTHER LEVEL,” Gilbert captioned on social media:

“Aldean was one of those guys coming up that I looked up to because he’s a great song guy... Back in the day, he cut a couple songs of mine, #mykindaparty and #dirtroadanthem, and he turned both of those into big ole hits... I’ll forever be thankful for that... Writing a song and having Aldean cut it is one thing, and that’s something I’ll always be thankful for and is a blessing in itself... But to be able to do a song with him, well, it’s a WHOLE OTHER LEVEL”

Aldean took to his own Instagram account, calling the collaboration “long overdue.” He wrote: “This guy has been a big part of my career. Back in the day I cut a couple of his songs that were HUGE for me. It’s cool to have it come full circle now and get to collab on a song with my boy @brantleygilbert…. This s*** is long overdue!”

Aldean is no stranger to recording hit collaborations. In fact, he just added a new award to his growing collection for his powerhouse duet with Carrie Underwood, “If I Didn’t Love You.” The single won Country Song of the Year at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Tuesday (March 22). During the show, Aldean performed a medley of some of the biggest hits in his career, including “Dirt Road Anthem.”

Gilbert has debuted a few other recent tracks before “Rolex On A Redneck,” including the sentimental “How To Talk To Girls” — a music video that includes his wife and daughter — and “Gone But Not Forgotten,” a heartfelt tribute to military members. Gilbert has been teasing new music on his social media channels since releasing those songs. Listen to “Rolex On A Redneck” here:
