Kelly Clarkson went country again during the latest “Kellyoke” segment of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the popular part of the daytime talk show where Clarkson expertly covers tons of beloved songs. This time, Clarkson performed her rendition of “Better Things To Do,” which Terri Clark released in the 1990s. Clark — and now, Clarkson — sings on the toe-tapping hit:

“Don't tell me the reason that you're calling/ Is to see if I'm all right since you've been gone/ ‘Cause I know you and I know why we're talking/ You're wanting me to say I'm barely hanging on/ Well, maybe that was true for a night or two/ But now, I got better things to do”

Clarkson has taken on several big country songs, including a recent performance of “I Will Always Love You” as a tribute to Dolly Parton at the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas earlier this month. Parton hailed the tribute as “so great,” adding that she knows “that Whitney (Houston) is smiling down on us tonight… She’d be proud of that.” Clarkson has also covered a few country hits during the “Kellyoke” segment, including songs by Kacey Musgraves, Randy Travis and Brooks & Dunn.
