Zac Brown Band “had a blast” filming the outdoorsy music video to “Out In The Middle,” premiering the end result on Friday (March 11). It’s one of 15 new tracks that the eight-member band included on their latest album, The Comeback, which released in October.
Frontman Zac Brown previously explained that The Comeback is a time for “rediscovering our roots and what makes us human,” and, at an exclusive iHeartRadio Album Release Party, called it “the best album that I’ve ever made, start to finish. All the guys, everybody on the team just killed it.” Singing-songwriting powerhouse Luke Combs collaborated with Brown on on “Out In The Middle,” in addition to another song on The Comeback, “Old Love Song.”
“This video speaks to the essence of The Comeback album and our band,” Brown told CMT. “It has the pulsating sound and feeling your heart gets when you’re adventuring in the great outdoors and your adrenaline starts pumping. We combined our old school country roots and southern rock style, creating an ode to our country pride and life’s simple pleasures.”
Zac Brown Band is one of many artists included in the star-studded lineup at the iHeartCountry Festival presented by Capital One, set for May 7 in Austin, Texas.
