Kelly Clarkson will take the stage at the upcoming Academy of Country Music Awards to perform a tribute to the show’s host, Dolly Parton. Clarkson took to social media, gushing over the legendary country artist and her upcoming performance: “One word: DOLLY,” Clarkson wrote in a tweet. “That's right, y'all! I'm so excited to announce that during this year’s [ACM Awards], I’ll be performing a tribute to the show’s host [Dolly Parton]!”
Clarkson, a two-time ACM Award winner, also made the announcement on The Kelly Clarkson Show on Wednesday morning (February 23). She told her viewers, “I wanna let you in on a little something exciting that I’m super stoked about… I’m super stoked because the one and only Dolly Parton is hosting, and I have a special tribute planned just for her…” Clarkson, who is also teaming up with Parton on a new spin on “9 to 5,” joins a star-studded list of performers for the upcoming awards show, including Luke Bryan, Jordan Davis, Kane Brown, Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Carrie Underwood, Chris Young and many more. Gabby Barrett and Jimmie Allen — reigning ACM New Female and New Male Artists of the Year — will perform and co-host the show alongside Parton.
The 57th ACM Awards, the two-hour “concert event of the year,” will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. It's set to livestream commercial-free on Prime Video beginning at 8 p.m. EST on Monday, March 7.
