Carly Pearce has found that writing music helps her move forward from painful moments. Now, she’s observing that she’s not the only one to find healing in her songs.
Pearce’s latest album, 29: Written in Stone, is “the most personal music that I’ve ever put out.” So, Pearce said it’s “so cool” to bond with fans during concerts because she notices them singing her lyrics — and, presumably, feeling the emotions that she’s felt. Whether it’s “Next Girl,” “What He Didn’t Do,” or “Never Wanted To Be That Girl” — her hit duet with Ashley McBryde — Pearce knows that plenty of her songs from 29: Written in Stone are resonating with listeners. She said in a recent statement shared by her record label:
“This is the most personal music that I’ve ever put out, but I think what has been so cool is seeing fans sing it back to me, and seeing them be moved by these songs – ‘Should’ve Known Better,’ ‘29,’ ‘Day One’ – I see them singing and I see that they’ve felt the pain as well. They’ve been there too. And I feel like I’m bringing them to a place of understanding they are not alone.”
