Zac Brown Band is gearing up for their next round of shows, and the eight-member band is “countin’ down the days til we’re back with our road crew again.”
It won’t be long before the “Same Boat” band hits the road again, playing some of their latest hits included on the track list of their highly-anticipated latest album, The Comeback (along with tons of other fan-favorite songs over the band’s decades-long career, of course). Released in October, The Comeback is hailed as “the best album that I’ve ever made,” frontman Zac Brown said during the exclusive iHeartRadio Album Release Party.
Zac Brown Band members are known for adding their own flair to each song, incorporating inspiration from different genres along the way. Drummer Chris Fryar and bass player Matt Mangano previously explained to iHeartRadio that it was especially “interesting” to soak in each band member’s musical tastes after spending time apart because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Fryar recalled that “everyone had a new little twist to their musical personality, which was really cool to be able to try to incorporate all of that into the mix,” as Zac Brown Band worked on their latest album. Mangano added: “It was kind of like…not seeing a family member for a long time and then you get together and it’s like you never missed a beat.”
Zac Brown Band is one of many artists included in the star-studded lineup at the iHeartCountry Festival presented by Capital One, set for May 7 in Austin, Texas. Fans can tune in and stream the 2022 iHeartCountry Festival on iHeartMedia's Country music radio stations in local markets across the country, as well as on iHeartRadio.com and the iHeartRadio app on May 7th at 8pm ET/5pm PT (7pm CT).
