Maren Morris shared another sneak peek of her next song to release from her highly-anticipated new album, and fans are eager to hear more. Morris took to Instagram on Wednesday morning (February 9), captioning the next snippet of the song: “we call it ‘forever’ but we know there’s an end to it,” capping it off with an hourglass emoji at the end.
The brief, 17-second clip has fans gushing that they “cannot wait” to hear the full song. One called Sheryl Crow vibes, and dozens of others flooded the comments with hearts. Morris first revealed a snippet of the unreleased song on TikTok, wondering “is a full chorus a leak?,” when she began to tease “Background Music.” Days later, the “Circles Around This Town” singer-songwriter announced that the full song would release this Friday (February 11).
Morris confirmed that her next album, Humble Quest, would release on March 25. The 11-track collection is one that delves into “the stories of my rises, my overshares, my appreciation of Midwestern guys who stand at least a foot taller than me, my lullabies, my wine-soaked conversations with a dear friend and my final goodbye to one.” Listen to the latest preview of Morris’ soon-to-release song here:
