Mickey Guyton is celebrating her son’s first birthday, and she shared a heartfelt message to her firstborn child on Monday (February 7): “It’s like my life began the day I met you. Happy birthday to my sweet Grayson! Thank you for picking me to be your mom. 🥺”
The “Remember Her Name” singer wrote her sweet caption along with a series of photos, beginning with one from the hospital on the day her son was born and adding a few others chronicling his first year of life. Fellow country artists have commented with an outpouring of birthday wishes for Grayson, including from Jimmie Allen, Brittney Spencer, Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town, Jennifer Wayne of Runaway June, and others.
Guyton and her husband, Grant Savoy, welcomed Grayson last February. At that time, she said it was “the hardest and most beautiful thing I have ever done. Welcome to the world Grayson!” Guyton added a quote from scripture: “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. - Psalm 30:5.” The proud parents announced their pregnancy in August of 2020, confirming months later that they were expecting a boy.
