Kelsea Ballerini is “all song’d out,” as she captioned her latest Instagram post (along with a smiley-face emoji donning a cowboy hat, of course)… and she seemingly hinted at her next collection of new music. Ballerini’s post includes a snippet of an upbeat track that paints a picture of what the Knoxville-area native deems is “a Tennessee thing.”
Ballerini shared the sound bite along with a few photos, and her post comes one day after she casually confirmed in a TikTok that she “just got home from a trip where I finished writing my next album.” The “half of my hometown” singer-songwriter couldn’t help but grin ear-to-ear as she casually slipped that announcement into her video, although “that’s besides the point right now.” Instead of dishing on the details, Ballerini delved into the look she was creating for a friend’s party: “My friend’s having a birthday party tonight. It’s ‘fancy cocktail,’ …I love an excuse to get dressed up. Let’s do it.” The final look came to, what Ballerini described as, a “mixture of George Washington” and Sandy from Grease, proven by her rendition of “You’re The One That I Want.”
Ballerini hasn’t revealed too many details about her next album yet, but check out why she’s “all song’d out” here:
