Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett are set to co-host the 57th ACM Awards with country music legend Dolly Parton. The “Freedom Was A Highway” singer and the “Footprints On The Moon” artist took to their respective social media channels to announce the news on Monday morning (February 7).
The announcement comes just a few days after the Academy of Country Music revealed that Parton would host the upcoming awards show, saying: “It takes a global superstar to host Country Music's Party of the Year, so we got the queen!” Parton said in a press release shared by the academy last week that she’s “so excited” to host the ACM Awards, and promised “we’re going to have some fun.”
Allen and Barrett, the reigning ACM New Male and Female Artists of the Year, will also unveil select nominations for the 57th ACM Awards on Twitter this Thursday (February 10), beginning at 10:30 a.m. ET. Damon Whiteside, CEO of the Academy of Country Music, said in a statement:
“The Academy has a long history of highlighting the biggest stars in Country Music alongside today’s rising stars, and this year that will spotlight even further. Reigning ACM New Male Artist of the Year winner Jimmie Allen and reigning ACM New Female Artist of the Year Gabby Barrett will co-host the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards side-by-side with Dolly Parton, pairing two of today’s most exciting new artists in the genre with one of the world’s most beloved music icons.”
The two-hour “concert event of the year,” hosted at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, is set to livestream commercial-free on Prime Video beginning at 8 p.m. EST on Monday, March 7.
