Morgan Evans created a new version of one of his songs as a special gift for a friend’s wedding, and he just shared a snippet of the romantic track — including Kelsea Ballerini this time.
Evans released “Love Is Real” on The Country And The Coast: Side A last year, and in December, he revealed that he got “the most massive compliment” from one of his best friends. As his friend was planning his wedding, he and his bride selected “Love Is Real” as their song to walk down the aisle.
“I thought it might be a cool wedding gift to make a wedding version of that song just for them,” Evans explained in a new video he shared on his social media channels. “Here’s what I did…” Going through it step-by-step, Evans shared that he swapped the acoustics for a piano, and electric guitars for a strings section. He also “got the Mrs. on backing vocals,” adding in a note that “she sounds amazing as always.”
Putting it all together, Evans “was pretty stoked with how it came out.” Though the sweet wedding version was specially made for his friend, Evans shared part of it on Instagram and wondered: “Should we just release the whole thing?” See how Evans created the wedding version of “Love Is Real” here:
