When Blake Shelton performed one of his biggest songs in his home state, he had a little help from his “smallest, biggest fan.” Wyatt McKee, 6, got to meet the country artist at his concert at Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant, Oklahoma. The wholesome video, shared by TMZ on Monday (January 31), shows Shelton take notice of Wyatt’s sign: “Your smallest biggest fan from Lake Texoma, 6 YO, waiting on a (heart) transplant!”

Upon reading Wyatt’s sign into the mic, Shelton handed the young fan a guitar pick and, ultimately, brought him on stage. Shelton read Wyatt’s sign again, and encouraged fans to “put that into perspective… The next note that he has on here, he asked if he could sing this song with me.”

The crowd cheered as Wyatt and the country superstar shared the mic for a rendition of “God’s Country,” Shelton’s hit song released in 2019: “I saw the light in the sunrise/ Sittin' back in a 40 on the muddy riverside/ Gettin' baptized in holy water and 'shine/ With the dogs runnin’/ Saved by the sound of the been found/ Dixie whistled in the wind, that'll get you Heaven bound/ The Devil went down to Georgia but he didn't stick around/ This is God's country”

Harley, Wyatt’s mom, told TMZ that her son has already had two open-heart surgeries because of a condition that, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, means that the left side of his heart cannot pump blood to the body properly. Harley said Wyatt was hoping to get to say “hello” to Shelton because of his sign — and Shelton stepped up to make the moment extra special for him.
