Ed Sheeran married his wife more than two years ago, and the couple opted to keep the details of their ceremony under wraps.
But now, he’s opening up about the “tiny affair” that he and his longtime sweetheart Cherry Seaborn held when they tied the knot in January 2019 (months later, a fan brought the husband-and-wife duo to life as LEGOS in an adorable video). Sheeran announced their engagement on Instagram in 2018.
For an international superstar, the ceremony was apparently intimate and low-key:
“Me and Cherry’s actual wedding was a tiny affair, with hardly anyone there,” the “Bad Habits” singer-songwriter recently revealed, The Sun reported Wednesday (August 11). “We did it at night, at a random day in the middle of January, in the middle of nowhere. No one knew, no one came to it, we lit candles and we got married, went back and had a curry.”
Aside from reminiscing on his “tiny” wedding, Sheeran apparently has his next project in the works. He recently shared a video to Instagram and told fans he was “recording something special today.” His latest post announced a “Bad habits remix coming this Thursday (August 12)…Hope you guys love it as much as I do, out everywhere tomorrow at 8pm x”
Sheeran recently appeared on appeared on Hot Ones — “the show with hot questions and even hotter wings,” host Sean Evans dubs it — and revealed why “Bad Habits” was the first single to release from his latest project. Watch the full interview here.
