Sia Adopted Her Sons After Seeing Them On A Documentary

Sia was so inspired by her television viewing that she adopted her two sons after seeing them on a documentary.

In her new cover story with Vogue Australia, the famed songwriter, 44, made the revelation, admitting that her reality television and documentary watching led to her decision to adopt. "I watched a documentary and saw my son. I was like: 'What? Like, he doesn’t have anybody. Oh my god. I’m going to find him and I’m going to be his mummy,'" the Aussie star said of adopting the teen and his best friend. "So that’s what I did."

Earlier this year, Sia made the big announcement that she had adopted two sons as they were about to age of out of foster care. "It's one of the hardest, but I have obviously such an overflow of love that I could definitely see myself doing it again, but not for a while," she confessed about adopting again during a virtual interview with Good Morning America.

"The next thing I’m planning to do is foster actual infants. Maybe [their mother] is drug-addicted and then I could help look after them until, you know, their mum can get back on the wagon or an adoptive home is found. If I can do that then I think I’ll feel like I’m superhuman."
