Drake recently took some time away from creating his sixth studio album to join the Internet's favorite grandma, the Dabbing Granny, on Instagram Live.
While talking to her fans on IG Wednesday (March 11), the viral sensation, whose real name is Gail Olson, received a request from the one and only Champagne Papi to join her live stream. While at first, she questioned Drizzy's identity, Granny realized it was the real Drake when she saw his smile.
"As soon as you smiled I was like, 'Oh my God, that is him with that beautiful smile," she told the "Chicago Freestyle" rapper. "Your smile lights up the room, I'm sure your mom told you that from the time you were an itty bitty baby."
"Well thank you," he replied. "Yeah, my mom always told me to smile in pictures, and I was always self-conscious about it back the day. But now it's too many great things going on, I have to smile once in a while."
Drake later opened up about his progress on the follow-up to his 2018 album Scorpion. "You know it's so funny, you're waking up and I'm going to sleep," he explained. "I just left the studio, I'm working on a new album."
When asked when it was coming out, Drake played coy, simply replying, "When it's done, we'll see. Hopefully soon, right?"
