It's easy to get lost in this big ole' world sometimes and Cole Swindell can relate. His new song, which dropped Friday (September 27) is all about finding just what you need back where you left it, in your hometown.
The song titled, "Right Where I Left It" is about the fresh perspective you get when you go back home after being gone for a while. For Swindell, he's reminded of things like the state championship on '95, the feeling you get watching the sun set with your windows down, and the white steeple in the clear blue sky. A visit home will spark a handful of memories that'll remind you really are.
I guess sometimes you don't know / What you got till you're gone / Couldn't wait to get out / Had to chase some dreams down / Ain't it funny how I found all I needed / Right where I left it," Swindell sings.
"Right Where I Left It" is featured on Swindell's fifth EP, Down Home Sessions V. Back in June of 2019, the country singer started sharing one song each month off the new EP leading up to its October release. Previously released tracks include "Drinkin' Hours," "All Nighter," and "Down To Earth."
Swindell has been out on the road all summer opening up for Luke Bryan on his "Sunset Repeat Tour" running through the end of October. Most recently though, the "Love You Too Late" singer joined Bryan on his annual Farm Tour for the opening show in Marshall, WI on September 26. There are five more stops on the tour, wrapping up on October 5 in Norman, OK. Further details on the tour can be seen here.
