Back in April, Chris Stapleton and his wife Morgane welcomed twin boys. Now, just seven months after their delivery, the parents of four announced they're pregnant with their fifth child.
The country superstar revealed the news during his concert at New York City's Madison Square Garden on Friday (November 2).
“Some of you may know that we have four children,” the musician said in a video published by The Blast. “We just had twins, about seven months ago. Now there’s four for us, but we’re gonna make it five!”
The crowd erupted in applause, congratulating Chris and Morgane, who was onstage with her husband playing tambourine.
The twins entered the world more than a month early, and as a result Chris wasn't able to attend the 53rd annual Country Music Award ceremony, where he won album of the year. In his absence, Reba McEntire accepted the award on his behalf and had the honor of announcing the babies' arrival.
“Those little rascals came a little bit early,” McEntire said, adding that Stapleton and his wife were home in Nashville with their new babies. “Hot off the press! … Twin boys.”
The couple share three boys and a girl but have chosen not to publicly reveal their names.
