Michael Moore Reveals Why Trump Ran For Office And It Involves Gwen Stefani

Michael Moore has made a startling revelation that Gwen Stefani is the real reason Donald Trump ran for president, as per the filmmaker's new interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

On Wednesday (September 5), the Fahrenheit 11/9 director claimed that Trump decided to announce his candidacy for POTUS after he learned that the veteran pop star was making more money as a judge on NBC's The Voice than he was making on The Apprentice, which also airs on the network. In short, he suggested that Trump only ran to prove to NBC that he was more popular than Stefani. "He'd been talking about running for president since 1998, but he didn't really want to be president," Moore alleged in the interview. "There's no penthouse in the White House. And he doesn't want to live in a black city. He was trying to pit NBC against another network, but it just went off the rails."

As you probably recall, NBC and The Apprentice cut ties with Trump after he suggested Mexico was sending rapists over the border. Meanwhile, Stefani has yet to comment on the revelation and we suspect that she will probably let this one slide under the radar. You can expect more from Moore when his upcoming doc, Fahrenheit 11/9, drops on September 21. The film chronicles Moore's travel across the country to interview American citizens and get a sense of Trump's impact on social, economic and political levels.
