Zayn Malik 'Best-Dressed Man' Of 2017, Beats Tom Hiddleston In GQ UK Poll

Zayn Malik was named the “Best-Dressed” man of 2017 by GQ UK readers on Friday. He beat Tom Hiddleston for the honor.

As Gossip Cop has reported, the British version of GQ annually hosts a competition pitting handsome, stylish stars together in a tournament. Fans are able to vote online for each match-up. In Malik’s case, he defeated Tinie Tempah and Luke Evans to get to the final round.

Hiddleston, meanwhile, surpassed Eddie Redmayne and then model David Gandy before his face-off with Malik. But the actor’s supporters were apparently no match for Malik’s following, which presumably still includes large quantities of Directioners. With more than 30,000 votes cast, he singer won 59 percent of the vote, compared to Hiddleston’s 41 percent. He succeeds former band mate Harry Styles.

Perhaps more impressively, Malik is now the first two-time victor. He was previously named the fashion-forward champion in 2013. GQ UK says, “This is a man who loves to look good, knows the trends and wears a wardrobe worthy of one of the world’s most talked about musicians – one that many men, including us here at GQ HQ, seriously covet.”

The accomplishment, however, is not to be confused with a similar contest run by GQ here in America. Last year, as Gossip Cop reported at the time, Kanye West was named “Most Stylish Man,” after wife Kim Kardashian and her family encouraged their millions of followers to vote for him. This year’s winner has yet to be crowned.
