Luke Bryan “had to turn the studio into a winter wonderland.”
When he and Ella Langley teamed up to debut their duet version of the Christmas classic last month. On Wednesday (December 10), Bryan shared a behind-the-scenes look at his time in the recording studio with the “you look like you love me” star.
“I hand-tore these myself,” he said at the beginning of the clip on TikTok, which cuts to a glimpse of Bryan ripping up bits of paper as Langley sings. “I’m making snow,” he explained. Bryan began tossing the makeshift snow into the air while an unsuspecting Langley continued to record her part of the song.
“I wasn’t prepared at all,” Langley said when she realized Bryan was tossing fake “snow.” “I can’t explain why it’s so cold in here all of a sudden,” she added as Bryan laughed.
“Winter Wonderland” is one of three tracks that Bryan released on Luke Bryan Christmas, a holiday EP that arrived on November 14. The project also includes Bryan’s renditions of “O Holy Night” and “Run Run Rudolph.” Bryan previously released those singles in 2017 and 2008, respectively. The award-winning country megastar and American Idol judge released Luke Bryan Christmas on the same day he premiered the “Winter Wonderland” music video, filmed and directed by Evan Harney.
