Carly Pearce Is Fighting 'Very Frustrating Vocal Strain,' Asks For Prayers

Carly Pearce asked for “all the prayers and good vibes” as she continues “dealing with this very frustrating vocal strain,” she shared in a message on her Instagram story on Wednesday (June 4).

“I’m still dealing with this very frustrating vocal strain & would appreciate all the prayers and good vibes that I get back to 100%! Thankful for the voice doctors helping me to feel back to myself again. I’m ready to SING,” she wrote on her Instagram story with red heart emoji and a photo apparently taken in the doctor’s office.

The hummingbird artist is set to take the stage this weekend at the Country Music Association’s CMA Fest, hailed the longest-running country music festival in the world. Hundreds of artists — including fast-rising singer-songwriters and well-established mainstays — will perform on several stages across downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The festival kicks off on Thursday (June 5) and tuns through Sunday (June 8). Pearce is scheduled to join Rascal Flatts for a collaborative performance on the main stage at Nissan Stadium over the weekend, plus a special acoustic performance at Carly’s Closet, a fundraising event featuring the Grammy winner’s wardrobe pieces that's returning for its fourth consecutive year. Ashley McBryde and Cody Johnson will host CMA Fest when it airs as a three-hour televised special later this month.Viewers can watch CMA Fest on Thursday, June 26 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on ABC. It will be available to stream the next day on Hulu.
