Chris Stapleton is part of the star-studded, genre-blending soundtrack of the upcoming motorsport drama starring Brad Pitt, F1.
Stapleton shared the album announcement on his Instagram story on Thursday morning (May 1) as Rolling Stone revealed the soundtrack lineup for the first time. The powerhouse country singer-songwriter will deliver a song called “Bad as I Used to Be” on the 17-track F1 album. Other artists featured on the record include Ed Sheeran, Tate McRae (who was recently revealed as Morgan Wallen’s first-ever female duet partner on his upcoming studio album, I’m The Problem), and more. F1, directed by Joseph Kosinski, follows “a Formula One driver (who) comes out of retirement to mentor and team with a younger driver,” its description reads on IMDb. The film stars Pitt, Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, Damson Idris, Tobias Menzies and more. F1 — the movie and the soundtrack — will debut on June 27.
