Trisha Yearwood paid tribute to her “forever duet partner,” husband Garth Brooks, to celebrate his birthday on Friday (February 7). The “Friends in Low Places” star turned 63.
Yearwood is seen kissing Brooks on the cheek in the close-up snapshot she shared on Instagram on Friday. She wrote in her caption: “For my forever duet partner…Happy Birthday, Honey. xo.” Brooks also shared a sweet tribute to Yearwood when she celebrated her 60th birthday in September. He wrote as he shared a photo of his wife on Instagram: “Happy Birthday, Trisha!!! You look better than ever, you ARE better than ever and I love you MORE than ever…love, me.”
The two iconic country artists met for the first time in the late 1980s during a demo-recording session in Nashville, Tennessee. They were both married at that time, but they remained friends for years. Their romantic relationship began in in the early 2000s, and Brooks and Yearwood got married on December 10, 2005. They are parents to Brooks’ three adult daughters from his previous marriage, Taylor, August and Allie. Brooks shared the story of the first dinner he shared with Yearwood and his daughters, including a moment that Yearwood and one of his daughters became “peas and carrots.” Watch it here.
