Dan + Shay returned to The Voice on the show’s season finale on Tuesday evening (December 10). The first-ever coaching duo said it was “so great to be back,” as they performed the title track of their double holiday album.

Surrounded by glowing Christmas trees, Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney delivered a rendition of “Officially Christmas.” Dan + Shay initially released the holiday single in 2021. It’s one of 21 tracks that appears on the duo’s long-requested Christmas album that released in October. The collection features a blend of original music and Dan + Shay’s versions of beloved Christmas classics. Smyers and Mooney wrote or co-wrote 11 of the songs that appear on the album, including three that feature Smyers as the sole writer. Smyers also produced the record with Scott Hendricks. The album includes “It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year,” “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town,” “Let It Snow,” “Winder Wonderland,” “Silent Night,” “Take Me Home For Christmas,” “Holiday Party,” “The Cozy Song,” “Pick Out A Christmas Tree” and more.

It’s Officially Christmas: The Double Album is a 21-song collection of brand new originals and our take on classics that you already know and love,” Dan + Shay said when they announced the double album. “This project has been a decade in the making, and we are so proud of every single note. We truly leaned into our love for the holiday season and think we found some magic in these songs. Our hope is that you are able to enjoy + share that same magic with your loved ones for years to come. As always, thank you for continuing to believe in us and allowing us to live our dream. We’re grateful for you, and we’re grateful for Christmas! 🎄”
