Granger Smith said in a surprise announcement on Friday (October 18) that he’s allowing fans to relive the final moments of his farewell tour. The former country artist confirmed last year that he would stop touring to pursue ministry.

“Surprise! We captured every moment from that final show of the Like A River Farewell tour and decided to make a live record!” Smith said. “This will be a special album to me for the rest of my life. So many memories that night, my heart is full. If you didn’t make it to that show, I invite you to relive it with us one track at a time!”

Smith said proceeds will support The River Kelly Fund, a nonprofit organization in memory of his son River Kelly Smith. The After MidNite host and his wife, Amber Smith, lost their son in a tragic drowning accident in 2019. He was 3 years old.

Smith reflected on his farewell tour when he caught up with hosts Dan and Reid Isbell on an episode of God’s Country, recorded at the 2024 iHeartCountry Festival last month in Austin, Texas. Smith said of his final tour that “it was tough. It was very emotional. I didn’t cry or anything on stage, but it was always — every show was intense and very emotional, looking out into their eyes.”
