Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood shared a sneak peek of the duet that’s set to release on Friday (September 27).

Johnson wrote in a post on Instagram on Monday (September 23) that he “had an amazing time filming this with {Carrie Underwood], and can’t wait for y’all to see it.” Johnson said the visual for the duet, “I’m Gonna Love You,” is “one of my favorite music videos to date.” the video will premiere on Friday at 10 a.m. CT with a behind-the-scenes look to follow, he said.

“From the moment I heard this song, I heard Carrie’s voice on it. It was a non-negotiable for me; either we sing it together, or I wouldn’t sing it at all. It’s that special to me,” Johnson said in a statement last week. “Working with Carrie has been an absolute pleasure. She’s not only one hell of a singer, but she’s a class act all the way around. It warms my heart to work with someone who’s seen so much success in their career and they’re still so down to earth. I feel like this duet is going to be massive in so many ways, and I couldn’t be prouder of it!”

“I’m Gonna Love You” is the first single to release from Johnson’s unannounced album, though he did confirm a deluxe edition of Leather was in the works when he took the stage earlier this year at the 2024 Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The highly-anticipated duet was written by Chris StevensKelly Archer and Travis Denning. See the sneak peek here:
