Kelsea Ballerini reacted to “the most unreal gift” on her birthday on Thursday morning (September 12).
Ballerini, 31, said she “woke up on this lovely birthday to see quite possibly the most unreal gift i can imagine…you guys sold out madison square garden immediately. pretty speechless at this one. 🤯😭🙏” The singer-songwriter announced her “one night only” performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City earlier this week. Ballerini shared the news of her highly-anticipated album release show with a video featuring her beloved dog, Dibs, which was filmed a few weeks before she learned he has inoperable cancer in his heart.
Ballerini will take the stage at Madison Square Garden with two sister duos — Aly & AJ and Tigirlily Gold — on Tuesday, October 29. The performance will take place just a few days after Ballerini releases her highly-anticipated fifth studio album, Patterns. The 15-track project follows Subject To Change and Rolling Up The Welcome Mat, a surprise EP and short film that quickly followed Ballerini’s most recent full-length record. So far, Ballerini has released “Sorry Mom” and “Cowboys Cry Too,” featuring Noah Kahan, from Patterns. The duet with Kahan is up for the Musical Event of the Year honor at the 58th CMA Awards. Ballerini is also up for Female Vocalist of the Year. She’s teased other Patterns tracks as fans eagerly await the album’s release, including a sneak peek of “Two Things” on TikTok. Ballerini said she’s “never handled anything with so much care in my life,” while talking about her album.
Patterns is set to release on October 25.
